The 7-Day GP Service has been suspended temporarily during the COVID-19 period, as all patient appointments are being managed and routed via your normal GP practice.
Your own GP practice will manage your enquiries in the usual way
What is the 7-Day GP Service
The 7-Day GP Service provides pre-booked, routine appointments for any patient registered with a GP practice in Southport and Formby - outside of the surgery's normal opening hours. It is not a walk-in or urgent care service.
Appointments with a GP, advanced nurse practitioner, practice nurse, health care assistant or physiotherapist are available. You can book these appointments via your own registered GP practice.
The service provides initial telephone appointments with fully qualified physiotherapists for new onset joint and muscular problems that you may be experiencing. You may also be asked to attend a face to face physiotherapist appointment at the service for ongoing treatment.

Where is the service based?
107 Liverpool Road, Birkdale, Southport, PR8 4DB (within The Family Surgery building).
You will be asked to attend this location for your appointment.
The service is unable to provide home-visits but does provide some telephone consultations.
